Close to Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla beaches, Cala Ratjada, and the castle-topped village of Capdepera, the 16th century country estate of Son Barbassa is in the beautiful Llevant natural park in northeast Mallorca.

The hotel is a sympathetically restored group of houses and a watchtower, set amid the estate’s olive and almond groves, and offers far-reaching views – with Menorca visible on a clear day. Views from the watchtower lounge, and romantic alfresco dining.
The chic style is a harmonious blend of original architectural features – such as wooden beams and exposed stone walls – and contemporary interiors and comforts.
The 16 spacious rooms and suites include family rooms and one adapted for disabled people. All are different – some have a terrace – but each has light-coloured interiors.
Outside, there are lovely terraces on which to relax, a large swimming pool, wellness space (with treatment room and Jacuzzi), and a restaurant offering Mediterranean dishes, incorporating fresh produce (some from the finca) and the estate’s own olive oil.
This was the first small hotel in Spain to become a member of Romantik Hotels and Restaurants International.
