About Castell Son Claret
An historical 18th century castle has been lovingly restored and converted into a luxury country hotel. Castell Son Claret is the crowning glory of a tranquil 325-acre estate, located just outside Es Capdellà. The handsomely restored 18th century main house resembles a castle – hence its name – and looks over landscaped gardens, with water features (and chirpy frogs).
Facilities at Castell Son Claret
A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the property offers 38 spacious rooms and suites (a couple of which have private pools); spa with indoor pool, Moorish hammam and treatment rooms; bar (the former chapel); Zaranda (one star Michelin) and Olivera restaurants; meetings facilities, large outdoor pool, and a small library.
Tantalising aromas of fresh bread and pastries, made in the hotel’s own bakery, greet guests each morning.
Guests are welcomed on arrival with fresh lemonade (from the estate’s own lemons) – part of the management philosophy of making people feel as though they’re guests in an elegant private residence, where they can make themselves truly at home.
Zaranda at Castell Son Claret
Chef Fernando Pérez Arellano, who brought his Michelin-starred cuisine from Madrid to Mallorca in 2010, has moved his restaurant Zaranda and team to Castell Son Claret.
