This concert commemorates the first centennial of the birth of Samuel Barber and the second centennial of the births of Frédéric Chopin and R. Schumann. The artist about herself: Ever spellbound as the first marvel; the magic energy captured of an instant moment in time. 1st of March, 200th anniversary of the birth of Chopin:
Aya Okuyama, Vincent Malgrange and Francisco García Fullana in concert In addition to a concert featuring Pawel Kowlaski open to the public at the Conservatorio de Palma (Palma Conservatory), Mallorca is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of this pianist with two more concerts to be held in the cell where this Polish lived at the Cartoixa de Valldemossa (Valldemossa Charterhouse). Aya Okuyama, who is slated to play an 1838 Pleyel piano, will star in this concert, accompanied onstage by violoncellist Vincent Malgrange and violinist Francisco García Fullana.
