More information about The Bodycoach

This pilot production of two friends promises nothing less than a complete regeneration of body and soul – in just four days! Personal food coach Caroline Bienert and relaxation therapist Barbara Majowski host a wellness seminar in a quiet retreat house in Pollensa. F

From 20th to 23rd March, the sunny island of Mallorca with its beautiful nature is the ideal venue to reinforce the positive effect from. It´s an active event of a special kind, which revolves around two major themes: food and relaxation. Caroline Bienert describes how the idea came: "Many people are exposed to very high stress. This in turn damages the metabolism and may even be carcinogenic in the long run. We have the antidote. "

Barbara Majowski holds relaxation exercises on all four days, while the focus is on Qigong. In the execution, Qigong resembles Tai-Chi (Taijiquan). The exercises stimulate calmness. They are carried out slowly, with flowing movements, implicating our respiration and natural posture. Both techniques derive from China. The term Qigong refers ti “Qi”, the universal energy of life, to its steering and regulating.

Between these exercises, nutritionist Caroline Bienert demonstrates how to optimize metabolism with a high-quality, full-fledged diet.Only the very best organic ingredients for the food are used for cooking at the seminar house. Caroline Bienert is a certified coach under strict U.S. Food Policy. She has worked for many years in the geographical triangle Munich – Mallorca – Dubai, supervised stars and celebrities. With the title "The bodycoach" she has published a highly regarded nutrition guide. Barbara Majowski is "relaxation career changer." A graduated designer, she found access to this form of therapy over painting. In 1998, she had a key experience with Qigong – a knowledge which she later studied with prominent Chinese teachers.

For the Spring Seminar on Mallorca are still places available. Caroline Bienert and Barbara Majowski have calculated a special prize per person, including accommodation and full board on all four days: 700 euros (double room), 800 euros (single room), optionally 60 euros added for the airport shuttle service. Corpus Christi in Pollensa

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Corpus Christi – held in Pollensa on the 17th of June. This popular festival includes the ‘Dance of the Eagles’ and is performed in the main town square.

The celebration is particularly colourful in Pollensa, with the dances of "Les Àguiles" and "Sant Joan Pelós". The procession will start after after the 6.30 p.m. mass

The dance of "Les Àguiles", starring two young people dressed in white and with many gold jewels from head to foot, supplied by the families from the town for this occasion, represents a very old tradition that is only kept in Pollença. It is believed to originate in the great eagle that on the day of Corpus Christi of 1614 flew over the sky of Palma. "Les Àguiles" perform a very simple symmetric dance. After the procession they do "les taules", going from house to house, where they find the tables set with sweetmeats and other gifts.

"Sant Joan Pelós" also represents a ritual dance of ancient origin. The Archduke Ludwig Salvatore mentions it in his work "Die Balearen". In Pollença he comes out on the day of Corpus Christi dressed in silk with a lamb in his arms, together with "Les Àguiles" and the procession. In Felanitx, another municipality where this dance is preserved, he comes out on Saint John’s day, this year on Sunday, June 24, after the 10.30 a.m. mass.

The greatest richness of the Balearic Islands is its territory and taking care of it and respecting it is an essential task, both in the present and in the future. An event devoted to the technology, methods, science and culture of the environment serves as a fundamental instrument of education.

Ecológica will return to the Palma Exhibition Site from 25th to 28th March 2010, another presentation of the event that is dedicated to the environment in all its facets and directed at both sector professionals and a general public that is showing itself to be ever more interested in the conservation of our natural surroundings.
