These New Puritans are a British quartet of Southend-on-Sea which drew a lot and although the British press attention with his first album, "Beat Pyramid" (2007). A fact reinforced its cash promotional speech, which were cited with equal credit references to hip hop and the occult. After that layer his music was brilliant, holding the building beyond the ‘hype’ with a sharp, angular sound that mixed the guitar, bass and drums accent post-punk with an impressive use of electronic keyboards and the abstract.

The future of Joy Division influences that reach digesting Faith No More. The singles and EPs that preceded his debut and had put on the ramp to launch the latest trends hunters, who finished dazzling when all that began to take shape on stage. In Spain at the festival first moved Faraday 2007, although striking confirmation arrived with his concert next year at IFF: there were the best new tunes and math claustrophobic indie rock in 2008.

The group has spent 2009 working conscientiously on his second album, in studies of their country and also in Prague, where he went to record an orchestra of winds. It is not the only unusual aspect of "Hidden", their new album released in late January 2010. The drums have gained prominence among them will be a huge Japanese drums. In the production duties shared role with Graham Sutton of Bark Psychosis. Lyrics enigmatic, dark and angular sounds: These New Puritans arrive.

DAY: Tuesday March 9, 2010 • TIME: 21:30 pm Venue: Teatro Lloseta, Mallorca • PRICE: 15 euros

They could be the modern reincarnation of the Midnight Runners. But they also resemble Adam & The Ants, a Gokys Zigotic Mynci, Arcade Fire, The Jam even Springsteen, the whole band is declared fan in the shade.

Its foundations are the ska music and soul, to which were added a large dose of pure power pop sound and British – as their press release explains more British than fish and chips. The Rumble Strips are five friends – are known since childhood – of Tavistock in Devon but now living in London.

His coming-out was in 2007 with the release of their first album Girls & Weather, and now present the second album released in late summer 2009. For his second album joined Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse) and string arranger Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire, The Last Shadow Puppets) who helped in the production of a record retro, yet contemporary, pop rock but festive but elegant.

Welcome To The Walk Alone brings together the ingredients of a disc that will grow over time, for its atmosphere of velvet, which can be both an elegant English club or the most decadent pub in Camden Town. Urban songs of disaffection in the city, home life with your partner, the delicacy of harmony and joy of being together.

Freshness and naturalness, great songs with catchy melodies that tatarareas from the first listen and is highly solvent on stage are the ingredients that are carrying these five Britons to the highest, and include them in the lists of the best bands emerging the British scene and in his visit to Mallorca will convince insurance.

Stanley Jordan, born July 31, 1959 in Chicago.

At the age of six years began to study music at the piano, at age 11 playing guitar, due to the influence of the music of Jimi Hendrix, but before long, had transferred to jazz. In his teens, he worked on the adaptation to both hands piano style for the fingerboard of the guitar called "touch or tapping in the during which he also developed a pitch of the instrument most suited to this new approach. His mastery with this new style, had reached such a level of development, which led him to win the solo competition at the International Festival Reno Jazz, when he was 17. After a period of study at the Princeton University, Jordan in 1981 obtained a degree in Theory music and composition. After finishing at Princeton, Jordan launched in 1982 its first solo album, Touch Sensitive.

The album did not generate much interest, and guitarist made his living for a time as street musician around New York, Philadelphia and other cities. In 1985 he recorded the album Magic Jordan Touch, which would have a huge critical and commercial success, remaining in the atop the jazz charts for 51 weeks. His innovative technique of playing guitar is to press the strings with the two hands, in Instead of the traditional to tear with the fingers of one hand and press strings against the mast with the fingers of the another. Based on This technique achieves reproduce sound of two and up to three guitars or accompany main sound bass lines. This technique is known as tapping.

With Stanley gets it harmonies complex, clean sounds similar to the piano. Despite not being the first guitarist to use this technique, if the first thing taken to extremes of Use unique in his musical output. Despite this enormous success, appearing in such films as Blind or quotes television programs of great impact, the musical production of Stanley Jordan has not been as dramatic as might be expected after its successful debut, as he has devoted much of his time experimenting in the field of the music therapy.

A particular feature is the tuning used in guitar, that is, low to high, EADGCF (Mi, A, D, G, C F) which leads the tuning in fourths Chapman Stick style, and the reverse of some string instruments (like the violin or the cello). Note that the strings are more acute this interval instead of a third major alteration on the second string, which leads to B and E in the traditional tuning. In Mallorca concert will present his latest album State of Nature, a series of reflections on the relationship between humanity and the nature.
