Akbar Indian Restaurant in Portals Nous offers a feast of different dishes to suit any taste. You can enjoy your meal in comfort either inside the romantic restaurant or, outside, in the garden. There’s also a large room for groups and parties. The extensive menu offers good quality dishes, with mid-range prices. It’s a great venue for a lunchtime treat: their lunch menu offers exceptional value for money.
Friendly service is one of the top points of the Akbar; Gul and his team are professionals and happy to give you time to relax and browse through the extensive menu. Ask Gul to recommend some of his specialities and try Indian cuisine with a difference. Akbar Restaurant is in the centre of Portals Nous (through the large arch opposite the chemist on the main road). There is also a parking area.
Gul Nawab – Proprietor
It was a dream come true for Gul Nawab when he opened his own Restaurant, Akbar, in Portals Nous. He has years of restaurant experience, learning his trade in different countries, from Cyprus (where he graduated in “Hotel Administration”) to Germany and Spain. He discovered Mallorca and he fell in love with the island.
For four years he worked as manager for a top restaurant chain in Mallorca – spending spare time searching for what he describes as “the perfect spot” for his own restaurant. He has a great deal of restaurant experience and so knew exactly what he was looking for: the right area and a friendly atmosphere. Finally he found it in Portals Nous village.
