Marc Fosh (former Simply Fosh)
The flagship restaurant of talented British chef Marc Fosh, is housed within a former convent, now the trendy contemporary hotel Es Convent de la Missió. It holds a Michelin star for 2016 – and was first awarded in 2015.
Marc creates his dishes around fresh local ingredients and dishes are well-balanced and delicious. What could be considered his signature dessert – chocolate and olive oil truffles with ‘flor de sal’ – is luxury on a plate. Originally based in Madrid, Zaranda was quickly awarded a Michelin star when it was moved to the Hilton Sa Torre Mallorca. The restaurant moved again to the 5-star hotel Castell Son Claret and now boasts a stylish interior which is luxurious and comfortable, with well-spaced tables for more intimate dining. Awarded one star every year since the restaurant moved to Mallorca, Zaranda has been honoured with two Michelin stars for 2016.

A surprising find in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the Alcúdia ‘strip’, this restaurant has one Michelin star. Talented chef Macarena de Castro is in the kitchen, and is the only female chef on Mallorca to have been awarded a star. Brother Daniel manages the restaurant. Upstairs the stylish contemporary restaurant with its interesting decor promises something sensational.

Chef/patron Josef Sauerschell from Bavaria has been creating his cuisine here at Es Racó d’es Teix, in the mountain village of Deià, since 2000 – but previously worked at El Olivo in the village. In 2015 this Michelin-starred east coast restaurant celebrated its 15th anniversary and changed its name from Es Molí d’en Bou to Bou. Quadrat, Sant Francesc Singular Hotel
Austrian executive chef Simon Petutschnig – who trained in several Michelin-starred restaurants – creates what’s been called ‘MediterrAsian’ cuisine in this luxurious restaurant with an intimate ambience, and the benefit of alfresco dining in the private rear garden. The restaurant was once the stable block of this restored 19th-century mansion and there are hints of this in the stylish decor.
