Meliá Hotels International has embarked on its journey to promote Palma as the preferred European business hub.
After it was announced in October that the group had won the bid to manage the city’s Palacio de Congresos, Meliá Hotels International has set out ambitious new plans to take the conference and events facility to its full potential.
In addition to the huge architect-designed seafront meeting space, there will be a connecting hotel located on the promenade. Meliá Palma Bay will have 268 rooms, a bar, restaurant, spa, additional meeting rooms and a swimming pool; further boosting the Palacio’s appeal as a world-class destination for meetings and conferences.
Gabriel Escarrer, Vice President at Meliá Hotels International, said: “We gratefully accept the responsibility of managing this new development in a successful and sustainable way, ensuring it becomes a key location for MICE in Europe.”
