Some 500 people walked the red carpet to the entrance of the market for their first experience of this exciting new addition to the gastronomic and social scene in Palma de Mallorca. Guests enjoyed liberal quantities of food and drink, great music from a DJ, and live music on the cocktail bar terrace.
The market will now be open all day, every day of the year, offering tapas, along with traditional market supplies. CEO Fernando Castellanos and the market general manager, Mar Rubí,head the group of business people behind the project.
Amenities include a central square with 17 food stalls, cocktail bar (with a stage for shows), coffee shop/patisserie, terraces, a multipurpose space for cooking classes, private tastings, and product presentations, and a show-cooking kitchen on the upper floor.
