Son Simó Vell is located just a few kilometres inland from Alcúdia, making it an ideal starting point to explore the many towns, ports and beaches of the north. Places like Pollença, Formentor, and Alcúdia are all within easy reach. The hotel is located amongst a 40-hectare working farm that produces oranges, lemons, eggs, wine, extra virgin olive oil, and vegetables, all of which are used in the hotel.
Guests are encouraged to explore the surrounding countryside, which also features talayotic monuments dating back more than 3,000 years.
In more recent years the farm has started to produce its own wine, and the owners are happy to show guests around the vineyard and wine cellar, where you can sample Son Simó Vell’s wine, as well as other locally produced wines.
They offer guests a choice of four double rooms and four suites, all of which are very modern, and offer a stark contrast to the traditional surroundings of the farm.
We Love… Wandering around the surrounding grounds.
Why you should stay here… For easy access to the lovely Cap des Pinar peninsula.
Good to Know… There’s a large market in nearby Port de Pollença every Wednesday morning.
