About 15teen Cantina & Garden
This seasonal dinner-only eatery in Porto Cristo Novo is the sister establishment of popular waterside restaurant Quince in Porto Cristo, with a similar concept: the cuisine of different countries, warm friendly service, and a fun informal ambience.
Owner L. Martín Segura has worked in high-quality restaurants on Mallorca and abroad.
He renovated and designed the property himself, respecting the original structure and history but giving it quirky decorative touches.
A private dining area has a huge colourful mural painted by a local graffiti artist and seats 12.
The large enclosed garden is accessed from the interior or the street. The spacious dining terrace has ample shading and a grassed area is a safe play zone for children.
The cuisine and chef
The dishes at 15teen Cantina & Garden reflect the owner’s travels and influences of experienced German chef, 37-year-old Alexander Weinhold.
The menu includes regional and international tapas, such as duck tataki, guacamole, Swedish-style meatballs, sashimi, and yucca and potato chips with Parmesan and tomato pesto.
Main courses include the fresh fish of the day, 15teen’s fish and chips, and red mullet on Cambodian-style risotto. Meats include Galician beef, and 4-hour marinated pork ribs in an Asian BBQ sauce. Rice and pastas include home-made gnocchi. Desserts change on a regular basis but may include an olive oil cake, based on a traditional recipe.
15teen Cantina & Garden’s location
The ‘cantina’ is in the tranquil residential area of Cala Anguila, where residents include locals and a variety of European nationalities in permanent and vacation homes. There is free street parking and, opposite, steps down to the attractive cove.
If you’re unable to get a table at Quince in Porto Cristo, it’s an easy five-minute drive here to enjoy the similar concept at 15teen.
