Her clientele are loyal, and the cuisine she serves is eccentric and delicious. The interior boasts high ceilings and large windows permitting astonishing sea views. The breezy patio is fragrant with herbs and flowers. Live music nights and art openings give you a chance to rub elbows with locals in a casual and relaxed manner.
Products and ingredients from Agapanto’s own garden and from local suppliers and farms are used in the innovative Mediterranean cuisine, which is elegantly presented. The friendly service team members are happy to advise on wine and entrée pairings.
Lunch is a wonderful way to be initiated into the Agapanto philosophy with a changing set menu offering succulent Ibérico pork cheeks served with potato and celery rosti or the fresh fish of the day with pesto mashed potatoes and spring vegetables.
For dinner, the tapas deluxe, a trio of tiger prawns with cherry tomatoes followed by ‘Bomba’ rice from Sa Pobla with tomatoes, pepper and Grimalt cheese represent the island’s culinary traditions. Main courses such as Iberian pork with couscous and green bean purée and the grilled hake with polenta and courgette balls are perfectly balanced in textures, flavours and seasoning. For dessert, passion fruit tiramisu with raspberry sorbet and peaches is light and refreshing.
The menú del día announces “there is only one success, to be able to spend your life in your own way…”.
