The Sierra Tramuntana mountains in Mallorca are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is no easy achievement. Rental villa location
Nestled in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains in southwest Mallorca, Villa Sa Coma is renovated, traditional almond farm. Although the location seems remote, the exciting city of Andratx is within walking distance. The southwest of Mallorca is one of the more developed areas and golf, tennis, beaches, and Michelin star restaurants are minutes away, if you decide to leave the property.
Overview of the villa
Surrounded by a traditional Mediterranean garden of palms, cypress and oleander, the historic stone villa has sweeping vistas of the rugged mountain terrain from the patio. The crescent pool shimmers in the terraced garden. Five bedrooms with five bathrooms are decorated in modern decor. The open plan kitchen and dining area seats 10 at the table, while the terrace hosts dining for 10 and a second lounge. The materials of the villa reflect Spanish architectural history in revealed stone, heavy wrought iron, wood doors and beams. In the spring time the area is bursting with pink almond blossoms and the air fragrant with their heady perfume.
The villa has 4 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and one bedroom with a king bed.The bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms and are tastefully decorated in muted tones with pops of colour. Crisp linens dress the beds and there is air conditioning in the heat of summer, and cool mountain breezes keep the rooms fresh year round. The facilities sleep 10 comfortably.
Entering through the wood and wrought iron fortress door you find yourself in an airy modern casa filled with light and equipped with all the amenities and comforts of home. The kitchen, dining area and lounge are open plan. There is a large flatscreen television with cozy sofas, and the lounge opens to the terrace where you have an expansive living area under the portico. On the ground floor are three private, well appointed bedrooms.
Up the stairs leads you to two more bedrooms. There is a master suite with an ensuite bathroom and private terrace, as well as a second bedroom with a king size bed.
The crescent shaped grand pool drops away to the vistas of the mountain, the valley, and the sea beyond. During the heat of the day, there are modern lounges by the 16m2 pool and the colonnade on the terrace is covered for those seeking shade in the lounge area. A BBQ on the terrace is an opportunity for grilling local seafood and produce bought at the market.

Outside living areas
The strong light in the foothills of the mountains fades into a spectacular sunset in the evening. Dining al fresco under the constellations in the evening and then going for an evening swim is crucial to time spent in Mallorca. Sitting in the outdoor lounge, enjoying a chilled glass of local cava is, too.

Andratx is 1 km away and the airport is 44 kms away. The closest beach is 5 kms away. The house has ample parking for 3 cars.
