Luis Armero is certainly not keen on receiving visits. Despite its perfect location on the outskirts of Felanitx there is no sign of the bodega. A simple field track leads to the former hen-coops, which were gradually transformed into a winery. Love made the native Valencian leave his home. His Mallorcan wife brought lands and the old chicken farm into their marriage; he added his knowledge of winemaking.

The old premises now house one of the most important experimental work sites of the island. On his numerous wine trips he brought home ideas to introduce on Mallorca. Not everything worked. True to the motto “Otra cosa mariposa”, he is always looking for something new. Hobby winemakers experiment in his lab, with his advice and assistance. “Mallorcans are not really used to collective work,” he tells us. He is also helping to build up the new Bodega Son Alegre, makes table wines with Michelin-starred chef Andreu Genestra, and creates entire product lines for wine distributors Vinámica and Túnel.
Always open-minded and looking for new challenges, he was immediately ready to join his sons´ brewery venture. He is a jack-of-all-trades. Soon visitors will find a warm welcome: a tasting room has already been built and a new access road is due to open to traffic.
Callet & Merlot.
Look closely and you will see the elegance in the glass. It shines in garnet colours and produces a beautiful bouquet. The whole palate is pampered. The typical notes of Callet make it perfect.

50% Callet, 25% Merlot & 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Flawless red liquid flows into the glass. The sensual bouquet is dominated by ripe pear and hints of cassis. This wine shows an elegant, profound structure. Fiery finish!
