Astir is the fine dining restaurant of the hotel – a gourmet space dedicated to serving the best meat in the world.
The cuisine is based on the tradition of Mallorcan gastronomy, organic local products and the most modern cuisine combined with the best ingredients.
The meat is provided exclusively on Mallorca by “El Capricho” which is recognised by the most important gastronomic critics as ‘the best in the world’. Fresh fish delivered daily is also on offer. And to complete the gastronomic experience, 100 labels make-up a unique and refined selection of wines.
The ambience at Astir
The vaulted ceilings and the hydraulic tiles inside Astir invite diners to relax, while those who dine on the terrace can enjoy views of the Mediterranean.
Astir, is one of the four options to dine within the hotel. Next to the main restaurant is Selini, a cocktail and martini bar which offers drinks and aperitifs from 10:00am until 01:00 in the morning.
The Champagne Bar, which offers beautiful views over Palma bay is the perfect location to enjoy a glass of Dom Pérignon.
Finally, and appropriately located next to the spa, is the Wellness bar, which offers organic juices made with fresh fruit and vegetables.
The Chef
The chef at the helm is Iván Crespo. Crespo has worked in the kitchens of restaurants across Europe including; El Paso del Agua in Spain, Cringletie House in Scotland, Le Petit Restaurant in France. His training internationally in Cuba, Japan, and the USA, influences his cuisine.
Astir’s location
Located between the village of Portals Nous and old Bendinat, Astir is a fifteen minute drive from the centre of Palma.
