Meat lovers alert! This is the only restaurant in the whole of Spain with a Southbend oven, which cooks meat quickly and to perfection at 800° Celsius. German owners Elisabeth Henkemeier (front of house) and Fitti Hüttenhölscher (the chef) imported the oven from America and named their restaurant appropriately.
The attractive modern décor features lots of wood, wines are displayed on shelves, and there’s a terrace for alfresco dining.
Open for dinner only (from 18:00h), with an à la carte menu featuring interesting starters, and all-meat main courses – including Chateaubriand, Porterhouse, and a mixed grill plate for sharing. They use best-quality imported Wagyu and Black Angus beef from Australia, Ireland, and the USA.
The Southbend oven quickly caramelises the meat’s fat content on the surface into a crust, sealing the meat to keep it juicy, tender, and flavourful.
Chef is happy for you to visit the kitchen to see the oven in action and hear how it works. Salads and vegetables are well prepared and dishes are visually appealing. Bread, dips, desserts (including ice creams and sorbets) are all home-made. There’s a good choice of wines, and service is excellent and friendly.
