Opened in 1978, Bon Lloc was Mallorca’s first vegetarian restaurant. Today its cuisine includes imaginative and tasty Raw Food and vegan dishes that prove that delicious cuisine does not have to be made using animal products.
Passionate owner Juanjo Ramírez still runs the restaurant, located close to the Borne in Palma de Mallorca. The décor is simple but cheerful, with a classic black-and-white tiled floor.
This place is all about the food – and the love, respect, and conviction that go into it. Bon Lloc is best known for its flavourful and energizing vegetarian and vegan midday menu, comprising four courses with some choice of dishes.
With the arrival of Toni Rodriguez – Catalan creator of the luxury vegan patisserie brand Lujuria Vegana – as executive chef, a new chapter began and they now also open for dinner (Thursdays to Saturdays), offering vegan haute cuisine at affordable prices.
Example dishes may include smoked aubergine and sage croquettes; raw courgette lasagne with sun-dried tomatoes and vegan cheese, and spinach and smoked tofu pie in black sesame puff pastry with plum sauce. Committed carnivores trying Bon Lloc could become converted!
We love… the owner’s enduring passion for his business.
