Entering Bondian Living on Palma’s Carrer Can Veri, it’s immediately apparent that this chic living store embodies all that’s great and good about modern Mallorca living. Amazing former palacio structure- check. Reclaimed wooden furniture – check. Louche Med seating arrangements, distinctive textiles and beautifully bold table decor: check, check, check.
So what if the unutterably tasteful Bondian Living design team were to lend their skills to a Mallorcan townhouse? Their client’s wish was to maintain the original character of their home, while turning it into a cosmopolitan, updated place to live.
In order to achieve this, director Patrick Wünsche and design architect Diana Huete began with the bones of the property, treating the existing beams and sandstone columns with extreme care to reveal and maintain their beauty, and taking out old doors to give a pleasing sense of flow.
Aquamarine hues have been used joyfully throughout, endowing the house with a bright and lively summer spirit.
The stone and mortar equivalent of an extremely well-done facelift, Bondian Living has achieved the feat of knocking decades off the property, while preserving its soul.
