About Cala Molins
Cala Molins is one of three beaches that are part of the resort town of Cala Sant Vicenç, which is about 10 km from Pollença and close to Port de Pollença in the northwest of Mallorca. The other two beaches are Cala Clara and Cala Varques. Cala Molins is likely the most touristic of the Cala Sant Vicenç beaches, mainly due to the number of hotels and houses located here, and the crowd is often middle age and older British and Germans, as well as families. It is a Blue Flag beach, which is a prestigious award that celebrates its cleanliness and dedication to high environmental standards.
The water is quite clear and turquoise blue and the sand is soft. For a small beach, it is only about 50 metres wide, it has all the amenities you need. Parasols and lounge chairs are for rent, there is a beach front restaurant and a handful of other cafe’s and restaurants in the nearby village of Cala Sant Vicenç, and there is a small selection of water sports activities including SUP and kayaking. There are onsite facilities including showers, changing stations and toilets. Cala Molins is immediately surrounded by urban development, but it is a small village that gives way to a beautiful, mountainous landscape, including the dramatic scenery of Formentor in the distance.

Safety and Access
Cala Molins is easily reached by car following signs off the main route towards Cala Sant Vicenç. There is a public bus that comes here from Pollença as well. You are likely to find many hikers and cyclists around here as it is a popular area for these activities. Cala Molins is wheelchair accessible and also easily accessible for disabled people due to the paved road that backs right up to the beach.
It is possible to anchor a boat here for the day but on certain days the conditions are not always the best to do so. It is best to check in advance to know what the water conditions are for the day.
There is a lifeguard on duty during the summer months.
Things to do on Cala Molins
There is a small shop on the beach that rents out SUP, paddle boats and kayaks for the day. You can also go scuba diving organized through local dive companies. Cala Molins is a family friendly beach but as it is small and dominated by parasols and lounge chairs there is limited space on the sand in peak summer months to play. That said, the water is great for swimming and snorkeling. The village of Cala Sant Vinceç is small and there is not too much happening here in terms of shopping or other activities but you can wander the streets and surrounding areas which give way to hiking trails into the Tramuntana Mountains.
