Along with Santa Margalida, Palma also celebrates this Valldemossa-born saint with a special mass and lively procession of musicians and wooden giants.
What to expect
The Procession of the Blessed takes place in the capital to celebrate Saint Catalina Tomàs. During the day there will a special sermon in the Santa Maria Magdalena Church followed by a parade of floats and musicians in the evening.
Onlookers can expect the day to be filled with colour as the traditional Triumphal Chariot parade take to the streets, accompanied by dancing demons and those dressed-up in costume.
The parade will start in Paseo Mallorca and follow it along Jaume III to La Rambla which will then finish at the church of Santa Magdalena.
