Englishman Paul Walsh has come a long way from his early days in engineering. A little too old to have been surrounded by computers at university, he “kind of stumbled across them and got the bug”.
After taking the most challenging computer systems programming course he could find, he worked in web design at his brother’s advertising agency in Manchester.
One day Paul sat at his computer and decided to create something “pleasant to put on the wall”. He designed “a crazy monster of a program” to produce his stunning computer-generated art.
Each unique picture takes moments to emerge, but it’s taken five years for the program to evolve. “I retrained in computers two decades ago, so you could argue it’s taken 20 years to produce each piece.”
