Mallorcan sisters Maria and Teresa Solivellas have something to celebrate: a top travel publication has named their charming restaurant Ca Na Toneta in Caimari as one of the “greatest restaurants around the globe”.
The accolade comes from the American edition of Condé Nast Traveler, which has just published its feature ‘Where in the World to Eat’ (September 20th, 2016). The feature lists 207 of the world’s best restaurants, according to the compilers – experts who eat, cook, and travel extensively for a living.
Writing about Mallorca’s Ca Na Toneta, Andrew Tarlow – considered one of Brooklyn’s most influential restaurateurs – said “The owners source everything from the island, even some of the clay for the plates.”
Of the other six restaurants included for Spain, three are in Barcelona, two in the Basque country, and one in Girona province.
Congratulations to Maria and Teresa Solivellas and the whole Ca Na Toneta team.
