A prime location on the first floor of the Real Club Náutico de Palma, and an attractive new look are reasons to visit El Nautico, with its lovely views over the Bay of Palma towards Bellver Castle.
The new owners are a partnership of four, including Ramón Andreu (from the renowned Tast Club) and Emma Lopez, a former fashion designer who has put her design experience to great use in the crisp new nautical décor.
Open every day, all year, from lunchtime until the last diner leaves at night, it’s very popular with the Spanish market – particularly at lunchtime (even without a set lunch menu).
At night there’s a lively buzz. The menu seems to have been designed to suit Spanish diners’ tastes, with few dishes to surprise you with their creativity – but the food is well-prepared and good.
There is not as much fresh fish as you’d expect at such a location, but we enjoyed the hake ‘a la romana’, which came with a good sauce. The creamy burrata with tomato and basil was also a hit.
Service is friendly and attentive.
We love…the colour scheme – and shaded terrace.
