Chef Erik Eckfelder owns this restaurant just outside the very centre of Santanyí, which is located in a carefully restored century-old townhouse on a street corner. The interior is decorated in warm rustic Mediterranean tones, using natural materials such as stone and wood, and has attractive lighting – creating an inviting ambience. A stove adds a cosy glow and warmth on cool evenings; in warmer weather you can dine alfresco in the charming private courtyard garden. It’s a good location for a romantic dinner.
Es Cantonet is open for dinner (but closed on Sundays) and offers a small gourmet menu of well-prepared Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Asian influence, that’s based on best-quality fresh seasonal ingredients. Tapas, carpaccio, and home-made ravioli are among the popular choices, and the lamb comes highly recommended.
If you enjoy tasting menus for the opportunity to enjoy a variety of flavours and textures, Es Cantonet offers one consisting of five courses. The service here is friendly and attentive, and the servers speak German, English, and Spanish.
