Es Capdellà is a picturesque mountain village nestled in the Tramuntana mountain range on the Puig de sa crane and is located between the larger towns of Calvià and Andratx in southwest Mallorca.
The drive to es Capdellà is almost worth the trouble of a making a trip to this beautiful location, with undulating roads and stunning mountain and forest scenery.
There is not a great deal to do there except enjoy nature, but it is a lovely place to stop for food or a relaxed stay and enjoy some of the most jaw dropping views in this delightful part of Mallorca.

History and culture of es Capdellà
Stone-faced village houses, rustic fincas and architect-designed villas are home to a lively international community, which keeps this village buzzing all-year-round.
Travelling around this area you are likely to find traces from the Arab and Roman occupations.
Also of interest is the restored castle hotel of Castell Son Claret which dates back to the mid-1800s.
Shopping es Capdellà
You are only likely to find the basics in the village but access to more extensive shopping is available close by, particularly in Peguera and Port Andratx which have a good range of affordable and designer boutiques and leather goods shops. Palma central is approximately 25km or a 30-minute drive away.
There is also a regular Monday market at the nearby town of Calvià.

The lively international community of around 1000 inhabitants in this village belies its sleepy atmosphere.
