About Fabiola Gastronomic Garden
Tucked away among the medieval buildings and charming narrow lanes of Palma’s historical Sant Jaume neighbourhood is the restaurant Fabiola Gastronomic Garden.
Opened in 2018, this new dining concept adds something altogether new and interesting to the capital’s vibrant dining scene.
The kitchen is headed up by Executive Chef Juan Melis, who brings his ample experience in top-end boutique hotel dining from both Palma and Barcelona to produce a Mediterranean-inspired menu from only top quality ingredients.
The food and drink
While it is certainly not obligatory, the restaurant’s menu has a real emphasis on sharing and the fun that come from the collective dining experience. As they put it: “The best things in life taste better when shared”
Starters include the likes of Roast Croquettes and Coca with Tuna Belly, while for main course you can enjoy indulgent Lobster Rolls or Rested Ribeye Steak cooked on a skewer with béarnaise sauce. Meals are rounded off with a fine selection of cakes and tarts presented in an entertaining way.
As well as the usual range of drinks, including an excellent choice of wines, they offer a cocktail bar serving their innovate ‘half cocktails’, meaning guests have more scope to sample from their list.
The decor alone is more than worthy of a mention, with a fabulous explosion of greenery and flora-inspired motifs that combine the exotic – pineapples and tropic birds – with the vibe of a wild urban garden, even down to the oversize plant pots. Bespoke music playlists are created by the restaurant’s own DJ, renowned music producer Sebas Ramís, providing a background of cool trip-hop, soul and jazz with Latin touches.
The restaurant also welcomes events and can host celebrations for large groups.
