With over 50 vendors selling everything from fresh fish and meat to vegetables, flowers, spices and cheeses, Santa Catalina market is a vibrant and colourful gathering place.
Alongside locally grown seasonal produce you’ll find a good selection of harder-to-come-by exotic ingredients and a handful of bars. A fun place to browse, as well as to buy, Saturday is particularly busy, as locals linger after shopping to enjoy drinks and tapas in the market.
You can even take your freshly purchased fish or meat to Bar Es Mercat, where they will grill it for a minimal fee, to enjoy with a glass of chilled white wine.
The market is open from 08:00 hrs to around 14:00 hrs Monday through Saturday.
