If you’re mad for macarons, we have good news for you: Macarons de Folie, the hugely successful French cupcake and macaron bakers, has opened its first shop in Spain, specifically on Calle Vilanova 2 in Palma (near Calle San Miguel).
Not to be confused with American macaroons, the classic French macaron is two meringues made from ground almonds, egg whites, and sugar, sandwiched with a sweet filling such as ganache or lemon curd. Macarons de Folie takes this to a supreme level of delicacy with a rainbow offering of over fifty types of artisanal macarons as well as cupcakes and cream puffs.
