About Fulla D’Ostra
After several years having their own restaurant in Barcelona, Claudio Gutmann (from the world of classic music) and chef Hector Marceló, decided to uproot and move to Mallorca, bringing their restaurant along with them. They invited Martha Arais, with her international background in marketing and events, to help energize and establish this new project.
Fulla D’Ostra opened in September of 2017 on the tree-lined street of C/Cotoner in the vibrant neighbourhood of Santa Catalina.
The restaurant is a small and intimate space with a bistro-inspired style that offers an à la carte menu and a daily tasting menu for lunch. The food is a fusion of international cuisine with Mediterranean flavours that brings a new dining experience to this popular area.
Highlights from the menu…
Chilean born chef, Hector Marceló, prepares an à la carte menu filled with specialty dishes developed by Marceló that are healthy and flavourful. His combinations are not only tasty but colourful and artistically presented.
Some favourite dishes include a vegan tartar made with beetroot and mango with a touch of avocado foam, the chef’s ceviche inspired by Marceló’s native Chile, smoked oysters, Iberian pork shoulder, and blue-fin tuna.
Some of the desserts, or “the caprices,” as they are referred to, include a passion fruit mousse cake and a pineapple Carpaccio with coconut ice cream. The wine list features a detailed selection of quality wines from Mallorca and the peninsula that are chosen to best compliment Marceló’s food.
