Due to coronavirus, the organisers have decided to cancel Fira del Ram. It follows the ban by the Balearic Ministry of Health on events with concentrations of over 1000 people.
Residents of Palma know that spring is on its way when the attractions of Fira del Ram start to appear on the skyline of the outskirts of Palma.
What to expect
With over 170 attractions, this fair draws crowds from all over the island. Couples adhere to the cliché of riding the Ferris wheel together holding hands, children spend the evening running around hidden behind huge sticks of candy floss, and the smell of freshly cooked churros, crepês and gofres lingers in the air. Each year the fair expands with new, exciting rides and attractions and a greater selection of carnival-style food stands.
Dodgems, a traditional carousel, pendulum rides, a haunted house, and several small rollercoasters make up the main attractions. Of course, amongst the glittering lights, food stands and thrilling rides, there are quintessential stalls offering games where you can try your luck throwing a ring over a giraffe’s neck to win a silly oversized stuffed toy prize.
The fair can be reached via the metro from Intermodal Station in Plaza España or with EMT Line 10. Parking is free and available nearby.
