The respected Guía Repsol (Repsol Guide) has named its top ten female chefs in Spain – and two of them are from Mallorca.
The guide made their selection from women who have spent more than 20 years in the professional kitchen and whose cuisine is creating a lot of buzz.
Macarena de Castro (Jardín, Puerto Alcúdia) and María Solivellas (Ca Na Toneta, Caimari) are on the list, which also includes Spanish TV’s ‘Top Chef’ winner Begoña Rodrigo (La Salita, Valencia), and Elena Arzak (Arzak, San Sebastían) – named ‘World’s Best Female Chef’ in 2012 by British magazine ‘Restaurant’. Congratulations Macarena and María!
