It’s safe to say that at one point Mallorca hadn’t heard of Halloween, let alone celebrate it. However, with more people from outside Spain moving to the island, interest in Halloween has increased. With supermarkets now stocking buckets of sweets, ghoulish costumes and vampire-themed cakes, other businesses have taken note and followed suit.
Son Amar presents a special Halloween show that promises an immersive experience for all the family. There is the option to dine before or after the production at the “El Castillo de Son Amar”.
In the afternoon of October 28th, Mallorca Fashion Outlet has scheduled numerous family-friendly activities including dance performances from TopDance group and a “terrifying” costume competition with many prizes to be won.
Fan Mallorca Shopping has an organised an afternoon on October 31st dedicated to Halloween activities. From 5:00pm to 8:00pm children will be able to participate in a costume competition & workshops.
Palma Aquarium on the evening of 31st October has organised a “terror camp” which offers children the opportunity to sleep with sharks. The same night there will be a costume competition and Halloween themed activities.
At department store El Corte Inglés, families will also find pumpkin decorating and face-painting workshops.
The following day, 1st November, is a holiday of remembrance, honouring deceased relatives.
