Last month, the Red Asistencial Juaneda announced plans for a new private hospital that will be built near Manacor, in Cala Millor.
The new hospital will not only provide extra care to locals but it will also be part of the growing health tourism industry. This ambitious project that will be completed in 2014 will mean that people in this area of Mallorca will no longer have to travel to Palma in order to receive quality health care.
The hospital will provide over 200 jobs and will be equipped with the latest technologies. There will be 50 rooms to provide for the main hospital services, an intensive care unit, three operating theatres and a 24-hour A&E department.
As well as this new project, La Red Asistencial Juaneda has announced plans for six new dialysis centres, with four of them in Mallorca.
