In the cobbled street of Calle Apuntadores in the centre of Palma’s old town, Hotel Tres successfully blends the original features of the 16th century palace it once was with modern Swedish décor to create a harmonious oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city life for guests.
The hotel is conveniently located in the popular nightlife area of La Lonja with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and is only 2 streets back from the seafront and marina. The famous Cathedral and the thriving shopping street of Paseo del Borne are a 2-minute walk away making this the perfect place for guests to base themselves if they want to be close to the major attractions of Palma.
Relax & enjoy
The two roof terraces provide a tranquil setting to unwind after a day walking around the city and boast views of the sea, the mountains and the Cathedral. There is also a plunge pool (it is very small but clean and inviting nonetheless) and a sauna for guests to use on the terrace.
Why not borrow one of the hotel’s complimentary iPads and sit admiring the view or settle in the courtyard and catch up on emails?
All of the 41 rooms are comfortable, light and airy with large beds with soft white Egyptian cotton bedding, black and white artwork hanging on the walls (some of which seems out of place in such a traditional building) and a sofa. It is worth noting that some of the bathrooms connect straight into the bedrooms and only have a curtain for privacy and therefore may not suit all guests. The bathrooms are well appointed with Molton Brown products
For those looking for something a little more indulgent, the suite is very large with its own private roof terrace and hot tub.
Eat & drink
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and this is something that Hotel Tres seem to take very seriously. Served in the hotel bar-bistro and on the terrace in the warmer months the buffet breakfast boasts full continental breakfast, fresh fruit, fresh juices, eggs and bacon as well as cereals and is all freshly prepared daily.
The bar-bistro also offers lunch and dinner every day as well as ‘Scandi-snacks’ and coffees. Enjoy a cocktail on the roof terrace or a bottle of Mallorcan wine from their wine list.
Close to the hotel
La Lonja is home to an assortment of international restaurants as well as the popular Jazz Voyeur Club for those looking for some live music. The Paseo Marítimo is a short walk away offering more bars and restaurants with views out to the vast Palma port and the Cathedral and other major sights are close-by. Palma Airport is a 10 minute drive from the hotel.
Good to know
Hotel Tres is one of the few Palma hotels that is pet-friendly so feel free to bring along your four-legged friends.
