Rialto Living marked the start of Palma’s most art-filled weekend with the opening exhibition from internationally-known creative Ignacio Burgos. The Carrer Sant Feliu lifestyle store – known for showcasing artistic talent – welcomed many visitors to enjoy ‘Artist’s impressions’.
There was a definite hint of autumn in the September air as guests gathered to admire paintings described as ‘figurative expressionism’; works that contain a quality shared by classical Spanish painters such as Goya.
Vasili Tsereteli, Executive Director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art – which has previously held exhibitions of the artist’s painted works – names Burgos as “one of the most interesting contemporary artists in his country“, stating that his art is “recognisable and self contained; for many long years the master has been faithful to his style and does not succumb to the dictates of markets, galleries, and curators.”
The exhibition will be on display from until the 15th of October, 2016.
