Two hundred specially selected guests celebrated the opening of Mallorca’s newest winery in October 2016. Bodega Son Mayol, in rural Establiments, is part of the Swiss-owned Finca Son Mayol – known since 2008 for its Black Angus cattle and beef.

The bodega’s French technical director Marie Barbé, world-renowned oenologist Patrick León (the bodega’s assessor), and lawyer Juan Nadal hosted the party.
Guests enjoyed a show performance and delicious food (including the estate’s Angus beef) catered by Macarena de Castro’s Michelin-star restaurant Jardín. Guests also tasted the first two wines – ‘Le Premier Vin‘ and ‘Le Grand Vin‘ – and toured the impressive winemaking facilities.
Members of Mallorca’s important business, social, and political community attended, including the Swiss Consul Christian Neukom and his wife. Artist Francesca Martí presented the label she designed for the first ‘Le Grand Vin’; her artworks at the bodega include the terrace’s gleaming centrepiece sculpture.
