Opened in 2017, the Asian eatery is named after Isaan, the largest region of Thailand located northwest and a part of the country particularly renowned for its love of cooking. They draw culinary inspiration from the whole of Thailand, however, offering authentic flavours and recipes from all over the country.
Authentic Thai flavours
The restaurant offers a wide selection of Thai cuisine, starting with classics such as vegetable spring rolls and chicken saté, and extending to the likes of duck samosas and squid and chicken croquettes. Diners can also start their meal with a salad or soup, including the famous Tom Yam.
Rice and noodle dishes range from favourites such as Pad Thai to the lesser-known Pad Se Iew – sautéed rice noodles with or without egg. Rice can be ordered as Jasmin or sticky. A total of six types of curry are offered from the milder yellow to the more fiery red and green.
Isaan Thai Cuisine also offer a variety of dishes based around beef, duck, fish and chicken, infusing them with all the complex fragrance associated with Thai cooking. Vegetarians also have a choice of dishes based on tofu and seitan, plus most allow you to choose your preferred level of spiciness.
For dessert, the menu offers an impressive selection, including exotic fruits and ice cream and sorbets in various flavours. A set menu is also available, covering a complementary selection of eight dishes.
An inviting environment
Isaan Thai Cuisine accompanies its impressive Thai flavours with interiors inspired from the country. Wicker hanging lanterns, gold Buddhist statues, and carved wood panels combine to create an exotic and cosy space to enjoy your meal.
An open kitchen also allows diners to see their food being prepared by Thai chef, Chef Aiw, with the help of sous-chefs Noo and Jip, who brings all of the passion and flavours from her home city of Bangkok to the menu.
