Love Japanese food? Then Japonice should be a must-visit.
Located in the centre of Palma, just around the corner from the Borne, Miguel Oliver and Rubén Marín’s restaurant Japonice has a cool décor, with a sophisticated atmosphere and lounge music. The combination of ambience and the wide variety of delicious Japanese cuisine has made this a popular lunch and dinner spot with trendy diners.
Chef Shinichi Ueyma shows his culinary experience (of more than 20 years) and talents here, and is a master of the theatrical skill of teppanyaki, which literally means ‘grilling on an iron plate’; see chef in action in their new teppanyaki lounge.
Japonice’s menu includes sushi, sashimi, rolls, wok dishes and salads – all freshly prepared and good value for the price.
There are often special promotions (see the website at time of your visit) and, at time of writing, a 10 per cent discount on the teppanyaki lounge menu prices was available on weekday lunchtimes.
They offer a small selection of Spanish wines, but the sakes or Japanese beers are probably a more fitting accompaniment to the Japonice experience. Catering and home-delivery services available.
We love… the home delivery to impress your dinner guests.
