Offering spectacular panoramic views of Palma and the bay, Kaskai is the reincarnation of the restaurant atop Na Burguesa. The new owners have given the light-filled place a more contemporary elegant style, but plan to improve it still further by making it a little cosier.
Open daily year-round for lunch and dinner (drinks all day), it offers a contemporary setting in which to enjoy chef Gustavo Adrian Marti Mas’s international cuisine, and pleasant service.
The interesting à la carte menu includes rice and pasta dishes, and meats grilled over coals. Kaskai also offers a business menu and special weddings and events menus. We had excellent prawn (13,50€) and vegetarian (10,50€) tempura dishes; whole seabass in banana leaf with sweet potatoes and daikon (22€), and cod confit cooked at low temperature with a wasabi/garlic mayonnaise gratin (18€). The Kaskai salad (13,90€) came with a delicious dressing.
Prices here are in line with the location, and portions are generous. Mallorcan wines are under-represented on the list, which offers mainly Spanish wines (in a good price range), with no Mallorca whites and only three reds – from Tianna Negre and Ànima Negre.
We love…the awesome views – especially at night.
