For this project in Son Vida, Espacio Home Design collaborated with architect Rafael Balaguer to create a space that is minimalist in both tone and structure. In the kitchen a base of pure white is used throughout to achieve a clean and effortless finish. The island unit positioned in the centre is sleek, only having had the best materials used to create a smooth polished surface. The clients’ wishes were always followed through, which in this case was a “pure design” which meant employing light tones and clean, unwavering lines.
An open kitchen was proposed to ensure harmony between rooms, where the house can be appreciated as a whole rather than in isolated segments. Where needed, stone walls and glass partitions help distinguish each separate area, but the main emphasis throughout was to create a light and inviting ambience.
In addition to the kitchen area, two recreational spaces were converted into cinemas, one outdoor and the other indoor. The interior cinema is a 7.2.2 Dolby Atmos with three front speakers from the Bowers & Wilkins CT Cinema series along with two subwoofers. 4 surround speakers from Bowers & Wilkins have also been installed next to 2 ceiling speakers. The outdoor cinema has a high-brightness projector hidden by a special mechanism that together with an electric screen creates pure theatre magic. Both cinemas are controlled by the Scena Touch Control system, which means that the clients have full flexibility and control wherever they are.
