Tucked away in the streets of the attractive small town of Artà, this restaurant is located in what was once a 19th century village school, imaginatively turned into the venue Club Ca’n Moray, by Scottish owner Vanessa Jane Davidson in 2007. The cuisine is creatively international with Mediterranean influences, and based on seasonal produce; wines are Mallorcan and Spanish. Special occasions and dates in the calendar often prompt themed menus, such as that offered on the day of the British Royal wedding in 2011, or for Oktoberfest.

The old property’s handsome courtyard – boasting trees, vines, and an old stone fountain – makes for atmospheric summer dining. The interior has been given a stylish contemporary look which works in harmony with the traditional architecture, and decorative features include candelabra and modern art. There are several rooms inside, suitable for private dining – and one boasts a fireplace for chillier times of the year. Keep an eye on the website for details of special events and live music.
