A German-owned and managed restaurant in the popular tourist area of Paguera. This restaurant came highly recommended by a number of locals and rightly so! It is a large restaurant and, as the name suggests, it is quite rustic in style.
In wintertime the place is warm and homely with low lighting and a nice friendly atmosphere. In summer there is a big terrace to sit al fresco. Many of the clients are regulars, with a good mix of Spanish and foreign.
One of the best features of this restaurant is the salad bar which you can select for your starter and is included in all the main courses. There is no mistaking La Hacienda is a steakhouse primarily and offers both Argentinian beef (slightly cheaper) and beef from Dakota in the USA, which costs about five euros more.
Regardless of which you choose, the quality is excellent – cooked to perfection and accompanied by French fries or baked potato (which comes with a huge dollop of sour cream and chive sauce). Vegetables can be ordered separately.
We love…. that it is a romantic restaurant in wintertime.
