About Laos Club
Set on Colonia Sant Jordi resort’s main stretch of dining and nightlife, Laos is a stylish bar-eatery, easily recognisable by its sleek, glass façade building. Spread over three floors, it has a café and restaurant with outside seating on the ground floor, a buzzing bar on the first floor, and a chill-out lounge with rooftop views on the top level.
The smart but informal restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, with an emphasis on charcoal grilled meats. The bar area doubles up as a club with dancing and DJs, while the lounge on the top floor has comfy seating, DJs playing chill-out music, cocktails and sunset views.
Food and drink
The menu changes monthly in the relaxed restaurant, and chef Jordi Chaves Monserrat has been at Laos from the beginning. The cuisine is mainly Mediterranean and sharing tapas, with a few international dishes, and the meats and vegetables grilled in the Josper charcoal grilling oven are very popular, as is the grilled octopus with potatoes and alioli, and the steak tartare. Dishes, and in particular the desserts, are all beautifully presented.
Upstairs, the bar serves a full range of drinks, and a fun crowd, enthusiastic bartending, and live DJs make for a lively vibe later in the evening. Alternatively there are tables and chairs, and more casual high stool seating on the terrace at the front of the restaurant.
Rooftop lounge with views
On the top floor, the chill-out lounge offers the opportunity to relax on a pristine white sofa with a cocktail, and enjoy the last of the evening sun with friends. The retractable roof, ambient music and moody lighting set the scene, with views over the rooftops of Colonia Sant Jordi.
