Set within the beautiful 15th-century Son Julia Country House Hotel near Llucmajor, the award-winning Las Bóvedas has original sandstone arched ceilings (from which the restaurant takes its name), a cosy ambience, and a large terrace for alfresco dining, with views over the estate’s vineyard.
During the summer, on Thursday and Saturday evenings, live music accompanies your meal (Jazz and Spanish guitar).
The chef de cuisine Roberto Diez joined Son Julia Country House Hotel for 2017, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role. The Madrid-trained chef’s more recent experience includes the opening of the 5-star Melía Doha in Qatar and, prior to that, he was sous chef de cuisine at the Gran Melía Victoria in Palma.
Produce from the Son Julia estate orchards and garden is used in his creative ‘fresh from the market’ Mediterranean cuisine, which is artistically presented.
Choose from the daily three- or four-course menus or from the à la carte menu.
The well-chosen list of Spanish and Mallorcan wines includes the estate’s own fruity white wine ‘Chapren’ – a blend of Chardonnay and Mallorcan Prensal Blanc grapes.
We love: The wonderful rural setting.
