Nestled in the heart of Palma’s bustling shopping street, Calle Sant Miguel, M House Hotel is perfect for those visiting for a weekend city break or people in Mallorca on business that wish to have everything within easy reach.
This charming urban hotel located down a small alley off of the traditional shopping street of Calle Sant Miguel is the perfect place for guests looking to be in the heart of the action of Palma but wish to return to an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
More central to the main sights of Palma is hard to find! Most of the major attractions including the Cathedral, Plaza Mayor and the Old Town is walking distance and the city’s main artery, Plaza de España, is mere steps away where you can catch a public bus around the city, explore further out around the island, or a train to the island’s centre.
Relax & enjoy
The quiet internal courtyard that greets you at the hotel is reminiscent of a palazzo of years ago with creeping foliage rustling in the wind and soft background music playing. Enjoy a drink here whilst catching up with those back home or enjoy a cocktail from the bar.
The hotel also has a small pool on the roof with sun loungers (albeit somewhat limited in number) for those days when relaxation is top of the agenda.
Whilst economical in price for its location, the rooms are not economical in quality. There are 4 types of rooms available: Cozy, Superior, the Junior Suite and the Suite with a terrace. Each room has parquet flooring throughout with soft furnishings to create a warm and welcoming environment along with all of the facilities such as Bluetooth speakers, a coffee machine and air conditioning that you expect to find in a hotel room. The hotel beds are soft and comfortable as are the bath robes that are provided.
Eat & drink
The M House Bistro is the place to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner during your stay. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast on the terrace or a light lunch in the afternoon sun. The evening menu is diverse with something to tantalise even the most particular of taste buds. Meat-eaters will no doubt enjoy the succulent Galician rib-eye steak whilst those with a sweet tooth would do well to try the Valrhona chocolate tart.
Close to the hotel
The city’s cathedral is only a 15-minute walk through the winding streets of Palma’s Old Town, the popular Mercat Olivar full of fresh produce and local foods is only a few metres away and the famous shopping street, Paseo del Borne is 5 minutes away and is home to plenty of luxury and high-street brands. Its proximity to Plaza de España means that traveling around the island is easy thanks to the TIB buses that operate from Intermodal Station.
Good to know
There is a ‘stairway to hell’ in the hotel that leads to a large events space complete with its very own cave.
Why stay here
Great value accommodation in the centre of Palma that is cosy and inviting.
