Palma Bicycle Hire
Palma was an early adapter of the bike sharing programs that are popping up in cities across Europe. There are two companies you can use for renting a bike: Mou-te Bé is the public bike service in Plaza de España and is an ideal solution for getting around the city. Users of a T20 or T40 metro or bus ticket can use a bike all day for free (an initial pre-registration is required), and the bike must be returned to its station. While the BiciPalma is more user friendly for tourists and short duration rides from one point to another. Users can simply insert a card into the terminal for long or short term use, pay the small fee and go. Bikes must be returned to a BiciPalma station or a fine will incur. There is a help line to call if needed.
