It is the rainiest month of the year for the island, that’s not saying much, and sunny days are still pleasant to spend outside, whether in Palma or in the cooler mountains: perfect for the October school break or a weekend getaway.

Average Temperatures in October in Mallorca
The highest temperature recorded in October in Mallorca was 33°C, but the average high is more in the 22° – 24° range. This tapers off towards the end of the month, where lows can reach as little as 14°C – still pleasant enough, but you may need a jacket or sweater in the evenings. The sea averages about 22°C throughout.

The sun is Mallorca’s steadfast companion even in Autumn. Throughout October sunlight lasts about 11 hours per day, and while some of that may include cloud cover, you can expect about six hours of sunshine on most days (until daylight savings time on the 28th of the month). Summer is a little bit longer and Autumn comes a little bit later on the island, and Mallorca’s weather makes this a perfect combination for harvest festivals.
