This delightful restaurant – owned and run by Svenja and Dirk Wendt since 2011 – occupies a restored old mill, in a quiet side street (easy parking) on the edge of Campos and is open for dinner only.
Moli de Vent Grill & Wine
Spanish, English and German
Chef Dirk offers two set tasting menus of four or five courses and à la carte menu, with seasonal dishes.
The attractively presented cuisine is Mediterranean with Asian accents. Diners receive a complimentary appetizer and palate-cleansing sorbet (ours was lemon with cava). Our starters included a delicious prawn and vegetable tempura with teriyaki dip and a sweet potato and lemon grass soup with baked quail. Main course plates include fish, meats and two vegetarian dishes. Desserts are worth saving room for: we enjoyed a warm chocolate cake with a Baileys parfait and a mint-fruit salad.
Wines include Mallorcan, and a couple of French and Italian classics.
The charming interior of the stone-built mill offers several small rooms for cosy dining. Outdoors the attractively lit courtyard garden has well-spaced tables among trees and Mediterranean plants.
Moli de Vent Grill & Wine is an unexpected gem in Campos: fine cuisine, comfortable ambience, and friendly efficient staff. Napkin rings add an additional touch of class.
We love: Dining in this traditional Mallorcan mill.
