A property survey by Tinsa – the Spanish specialist property valuation consultancy – has revealed that five of the country’s top ten most expensive property locations are on Mallorca. Palma de Mallorca is one of the three cities where prices increased the most.
The average property value on Mallorca for the first three months of 2015 was 1,755€/sqm, an increase of 1.4% year on year.
The municipality of Calvià was second highest in Spain, with values at 2,250€/sqm.
Andratx, Sóller, and Santanyí also made it into the top ten. Mallorca’s biggest increases in property values year-on-year were in Santanyí(5.5%) and Sóller (5.4%). Some 95% of property transactions were by foreigners – mainly German, British, and Nordic.
