The gastronomic scene on Mallorca has never been as exciting as it has been for the past couple of years. Not only does the island have nine restaurants with Michelin stars – including one with two stars – but there are also exciting new places that are re-setting benchmarks in terms of cuisine, service, and décor. Others have made positive changes to attract today’s more discerning diners. All of these factors are making Mallorca an increasingly appealing destination for foodies.
In our bid to showcase the most popular places, we visit, eat, and enjoy them every year. If you’re looking for a great restaurant to visit in 2017, we hope you’ll enjoy them too . . .
Whichever of these eateries you try, we recommend accompanying your meal with a bottle of wine produced on Mallorca. With more than 70 wineries here, you should find plenty of their good wines on offer in the better-quality restaurants. For a guide to some to watch out for, see abcMallorca’s guide to the ‘101 Best Wines of Mallorca’. And if you want to find even more restaurants to visit on Mallorca this year, our Restaurant section is essential visiting.
